He graduated as an architect from the ETSAB in 1980. He has been a municipal architect and Territorial D.S. in the City Council of Granollers (1982-1992), and Technical D.S. of the Association of Municipalities of the AMB until 2008. He is currently Manager of the Metropolitan Area of Barcelona (AMB), administration responsible for the drafting and management of metropolitan planning, waste management, integral water cycle and transport and mobility among others, and Managing Director of IMPSOL (Metropolitan Institute for Land Development and Property Management).
He has drafted various planning documents, such as the General Plan of Granollers, the Metropolitan Territorial Plan of Barcelona, and partial and special plans, among others, as well as various public space and architectural projects.
He is a lecturer on master’s and postgraduate courses at the UPC and the EAPC, a member of the PFC examining board at the ETSAB and a lecturer on topics related to urban planning and architecture in different countries. He has written articles for different specialised media, a book on public space and publications on public management.
