MA and PhD in Anthropological Sciences from UAM-Iztapalapa. She currently works as a professor and researcher in the Department of Sociology of the Division of Social Sciences and Humanities at UAM-Iztapalapa. She is a member of the National System of Researchers. Her main research topics are women’s daily mobility, fear and sexual violence in public spaces from a gender perspective, feminist geographies and qualitative methods for the study of urban space. She has led the UN Women’s Safe Cities and Spaces for Women and Girls Programme in the cities of Puebla (2018) and Guadalajara (2019) and the project “A gender-intersectional look at the daily mobility practices of men and women in Mexico City. Contributions to building caring and inclusive cities “, funded by the Secretariat of Science and Technology SECTEI of Mexico City in 2021.
