Engineer, with a master’s degree in Development, and a specialization in State, Public Policies and Development. Expert in project management. International researcher and consultant. He works in sustainable development, governance, urban and territorial policy, and metropolitan management at a global level. In 2010, he joined UN-Habitat, where he has held various positions and participated in global and local UN projects in Latin America, Europe, Africa and Asia. Author of and contributor to more than 30 publications. Lecturer, instructor and guest professor at various universities in Argentina, Colombia, El Salvador, Spain, United States, Italy, Mexico and Paraguay.
He is currently part of the Policy, Legislation and Governance Section of UN-Habitat, where he leads the global portfolio in metropolitan management. During 2017-2018 he led UN-Habitat’s strategic axis on Legislation, Governance and Urban Security for the Andean Countries. In 2014, he implemented the Urban-Regional and Metropolitan Integration Program of UN-Habitat in Colombia.
