PhD in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia, UK, Master in Regional Economics and economist. Professor-researcher at the Centro de Estudios Demográficos, Urbanos y Ambientales of El Colegio de México where she was academic coordinator of the Master in Urban Studies between 2013 and 2015. She is a member of the National System of Researchers (Level II), ambassador to Mexico and Chair of the Latin American division of the Regional Studies Association.
