Secretary for Women’s Affairs of Bogotá. Master’s degree and PhD in Sociology from Northwestern University, and a lawyer and economist from the University of Los Andes. She has dedicated her life to the study and defense of human rights. As Deputy Director and Researcher at the Center for the Study of Law, Justice and Society (Dejusticia), she focused on citizen participation, forced displacement, access to health and environmental policy topics. She has also been a professor at the faculties of Administration and Law at the University of Los Andes and a visiting professor at the University of Lanus (Argentina). She was the founder of the “Criando la Paz” campaign, which helped pregnant and lactating ex-combatant women in their transition to peace.
